Book of Gates
BF Games certified provider
96.03% RTP
Book of Gates delivers a base game RTP of 96.03%, positioning this Ancient Egyptian slot among the higher-paying offerings from BF Games. The dynamic reel structure combined with the RESPIN mechanic creates genuine winning opportunities across up to three million ways on expanded reels.
Each winning combination triggers a RESPIN and unlocks one additional row above the main reels. Three consecutive wins fully expand the game window from 3-5 symbols per reel to 5-8 symbols, multiplying your ways to win by more than tenfold.
Dynamic symbol positioning delivers between 2 and 5 symbols per reel in the base game. Three additional rows remain hidden above the main play window, covered by ornate golden panels until the RESPIN feature activates and reveals them progressively. Book of the Fallen expands symbols across all visible positions during its 10 free spins, rewarding players with up to 5,000x their stake through Pragmatic Play's high-volatility mechanics.
2-5 base symbols, expanding to 5-8Every winning combination awards an immediate RESPIN with one extra row unlocked. The mechanic continues for up to three consecutive respins, provided each spin produces a new win. Once wins cease or all rows are unlocked, the feature concludes.
Triggered by any winLanding three Scatter symbols—the glowing Book of Gates—simultaneously on reels one, three, and five triggers the Free Games round. You receive 10 free spins played at your triggering bet with all three extra rows permanently unlocked from the first spin.
10 free spins, fully expanded reelsThe diamond-framed female pharaoh Wild appears exclusively on reels two, three, and four. It substitutes for all symbols except the Scatter. Only one Wild can land per reel, and Wilds cannot share a reel with Scatter symbols. In Book of Shadows EXTREME volatility slot, golden Free Spins symbols appear only on reels 1, 3, and 5, never overlapping with standard wilds or occupying the same reel positions.
Reels 2, 3 & 4 onlyBook of Gates uses a ways-to-win payout structure rather than fixed paylines. Winning combinations form from left to right across adjacent reels regardless of vertical position. Only the highest win per combination pays out.
Left to right adjacencyThe theoretical maximum win per round reaches 1,626.00 EUR, while the maximum single-spin win caps at 1,454.00 EUR. These figures scale proportionally with your selected bet amount, calculated at the demo stake of 2.00 EUR.
813x bet (round) / 727x bet (spin)The RESPIN escalation mechanic in Book of Gates creates a genuinely different experience from standard expanding reel slots. Rather than random expansion, you earn each additional row through consecutive wins, building anticipation as the golden panels lift one by one. The fully unlocked 32,768-way configuration during Free Games delivers the volatility spike experienced players seek, while the 96.03% RTP maintains fair return expectations across extended sessions.
All payout values calculated at a 2.00 EUR bet stake. Wins require three or more matching symbols on adjacent reels starting from the leftmost position. Book of Aztec shares the same left-to-right matching requirement across its paylines, with scatter pays calculated independently of standard symbol positions.
Book of Gates uses a win-triggered escalation system. Master the feature activation sequence to get the most out of the slot's mechanics.
Form three or more matching symbols on adjacent reels starting from the left. The base game offers up to 3,125 ways to create a winning line depending on how many symbols appear per reel that spin.
Your first win triggers the initial RESPIN, lifting the top golden panel to reveal an extra row above the main reels. With 3–6 symbols displayed per reel, the number of ways to win expands to 7,776—take the next win further!
If the first RESPIN produces another win, the second hidden row reveals (4-7 symbols, 16,807 ways). A third consecutive win unlocks the final row (5-8 symbols, 32,768 ways). The sequence ends when a RESPIN produces no new winning combination.
Independently of RESPINs, landing three Book Scatter symbols on reels 1, 3, and 5 simultaneously activates the Free Games bonus. You receive 10 spins with all three extra rows permanently visible from the start, guaranteeing maximum ways to win throughout the feature. Book of Crazy Chicken awards 10 free games when three Book symbols land, transforming one randomly selected symbol into an expanding icon for the entire bonus round.
